So Chris Christie is trotted out, as a Republican, who is opposed to Trump. Chris Christie is pandering and bending over backwards, to prove that he is with the liberals on this issue.
He’s trying to show he’s one of the “reasonable” Republicans Biden referred to in his “Soul of the Nation” speech.
It’s amazing to me how out of touch with the rank-&-file Republican politicians like Christie (and others!) are? Do they really think there’s a significant anti-Trump group out there they can say something like this and appeal to? The only applause they’ll get is the circle of has-beens, bootlickers and GOP-oriented PR types that ring the Beltway and inhabit a few state capitals. In raw numbers that group wouldn’t pack a midsize high school gymnasium.
Backwards? Bending over backwards? Remember, these are democrats he’s bending for.
