Too bad it will cost $1 trillion to repair the war damage, and thousands of Ukrainians have been killed, maimed, and permanently disabled.
And, Putin still has more nukes than any other country in the world.
Kicking Russian corruption and influence out of Europe is worth trillions to the American economy. Apparently, some don’t want that. They’d rather Make Russia Great Again.
Quite. There is going to be a huge reparations bill due from Russia. A levy on Russian energy exports for, oh, 20 years, will likely cover it.
I wonder what real good those nukes do them and us and the other nations with them as well? Beyond a certain number to annihilate others and a system to deliver that’s hard to neutralize; submarines, what is the value of extras of something you will never use? Unless Putin sells them and the knowhow to maintain and deliver them to others for cash/gold/etc do they benefit Russia? Looking for a deep dive critique here.
Unfortunately, that's what happens when you defend your country against a foreign military invasion.
And, Putin still has more nukes than any other country in the world.
The only real purpose those nukes serve is to deter a foreign nation from trying to conquer Russia, which wasn't going to happen anyway. So if Putin wants to twiddle his nukes in his hands like Captain Queeg and his marbles, more power to him!
