‘Dr. Oz wears pants.’ Republicans rally to support Mehmet Oz in Bucks County, PA

Republican Senate nominee Mehmet Oz rallied in front of a crowd of supporters Saturday night in Bucks County, PA, making his third stop in the Philadelphia region in five days as he targets a vote-rich portion of the state, though one where the GOP has struggled in recent years.

After running from backstage to tend to a supporter who appeared to pass out during the pre-program, Oz, a cardiothoracic surgeon, spent much of his speech blasting the “radical left.

(An Oz spokesperson said the woman had fainted and that he made a “preliminary assessment” as they waited for paramedics to arrive).

As he has for weeks, Oz hammered the Democratic Senate nominee, Lt. Gov. John Fetterman for refusing, so far, to schedule a debate.

Fetterman is healing from a May stroke and struggles with auditory processing and, at times, stumbles over his words.

He said last week he would debate Oz, but didn’t agree to any specific date or location.

“To actually agree to a debate you have to actually have a date, and a location,” Oz said.

He was introduced by Sen. John Kennedy (R., La.), who also took aim at Fetterman.

“Dr. Oz wears pants,” Kennedy said, mocking the Democrat’s dedication to wearing shorts at all times.

And Kennedy, like many Oz supporters at the event, targeted the financial support Fetterman’s family provided to help pay his living expenses deep into his 40s.

Fetterman has his own event scheduled in the area Sunday, in Montgomery County, when he’ll rally with the head of Planned Parenthood’s political arm in an event emphasizing abortion rights, and the stakes for abortion in this fall’s elections.

Medics at a @DrOz event wheeled out a woman who appeared to collapse near the stage. Oz rushed in from backstage and stayed with her until the stretcher came.

“Rita, god bless her, is doing well,” he said when he took the stage later. #PASEN pic.twitter.com/zYUA7Tvg88— Will McDuffie (@wrmcduff) September 10, 2022

It’s amazing how many times Dr. Oz has come to the aid of people who suddenly got sick in public.

“Dr. Oz wears pants,” Kennedy said, mocking the Democrat’s dedication to wearing shorts at all times.

I think this is the right message - it reminds voters that Fetterman is a slob while Oz is relatable.

Bottom line, it's amazing that a Doctor endorsed by President Trump is not leading by 10%!!

Makes you wonder about polls. Their purpose isn’t to gauge public opinion but to manipulate it. Oz may not be that far behind; he may not be behind at all. The intent behind keeping his numbers low is to suppress Republican voter turnout. Same old, same old.

I guess picking a RINO is better than an out right communists. I’m looking forward to the new name Trump comes up for Oz after he stabs Trump in the back a few times

Republicans might be in a quandary if Fetterman had a brain and used this:

“Mehmet Oz identifies as a...”

The rest of the blurb concerning this details Sufism and some other benign points of fact... but if Fetterman went to flight 93’s Memorial site and staged a media event, and made that inconvenient declaration... just sayin’

“ It’s amazing how many times Dr. Oz has come to the aid of people who suddenly got sick in public.”

When you are around large numbers of people on a daily basis and you are a doctor it is statistically unsurprising.

Your OPINION that Oz is or would be a RINO reminds me of what was said about Trump in 2016 & 2016.

My niece votes, but she didn’t know anything about him or even what he looks like.

I think this is all too common - coupled with a suggestion that the (R) “hates women” because Roe was overturned. Democrats seem to be getting a lot of mileage out of their new tactic of making their own candidates as invisible as possible and running against straw men.
