I think it can take back the separatist areas in the east, but Crimea will be much tougher to get back.
True, Crimea is much more defensible.
The Ukrainians should have been able to hold at Perekop, had it not been that nearly all of that assigned brigade was out of position. There were squirrelly things going on in the Ukrainian command.
The only way I can see the Russians losing Crimea is if the Russians are in some sort of panic, and are “bounced” by a determined Ukrainian advance.
