CS Lewis wrote of bad men who, imagining themselves good, though they do bad things they feel they are justified and their strength to do bad never gives out. Marxism / Cultural Marxism is the plaything of such persons, the perfect opiate of the elites as well as the masses offering a sort of salvationistic zeal with none of that messy repentance guff.
They are juxtaposed with ordinary tyrants who occasionally take days off or, proverbially, “like children and dogs” because they just cannot keep badness up all the time.
