German Minister of Economics, Robert Habeck, Under Fire as Energy Driven Reality of Economic Collapse Starts Sinking In

German Minister of Economics Robert Habeck is under fire after his comments during an interview with an ARD broadcaster on Tuesday evening.

The conversation surrounded the astronomical rise in the price of energy taking all the income away from people who would purchase other goods and services. As Germans no longer can afford purchases, the stores and businesses can no longer operate. Minister Habeck was asked if that means a wave of bankruptcies and business closures are forecast.

Mr. Habeck responded that businesses can stop operating, but that doesn’t mean they will go insolvent. Just because the business loses most or all of their revenue, doesn’t mean they will go bankrupt. That doesn’t make sense, Minister Habeck was pressed to apply commonsense. If businesses close to save money, workers are not employed. If workers are not employed people do not earn income. If people do not earn income, the economy worsens.

Habeck had no response other than an economically detached “Green Party” perspective that businesses will not go bankrupt just because they are not operating. However, his facial expressions reflect that he knows what comes next, total economic collapse.

Things are about to get very spicy in Germany as the reality of the unsustainable Build Back Better agenda starts to sink in.

The intellectual disconnect from an economic minister to the consequences of an energy policy removing trillions of dollars from the economy is stunning.

Be sure to watch the video on the Conservative Treehouse site. The German Minister of Economics Robert Habeck comes across as stupid as Kamala Harris. He spews a lot of word salad just like she does and says NOTHING that makes any sense. The interviewer is absolutely priceless -- she politely keeps going at him again and again calling out his idiotic BS. She is very dogged and won't put up with his crap. We need a lot more tough journalists like this lady here in the USA.

A couple of comments on the CT site are great:

1. We know they lie. They know we know they lie. We know they know we know they lie. Yet they continue to lie. (that's the old Soviet line that is so apropos here).

2. This German guy is speaking batcrap crazy mumbo jumbo bullcrap. He knows it. The interviewer knows it. The viewers know it. The Germans know it.

Germans are giving up gym memberships and are avidly taking up wood chopping and gathering.

My knuckleheaded sister lives in abject poverty in Germany. No matter how bad it gets there she will never admit she’d be much better off in America. Too many krauts are just as stupid and will never admit they voted for the wrong people or that going green will be an absolute catastrophe. It’s no wonder someone like Hitler was able to seize power. These people have a stuck-on-stupid gene that won’t allow them to learn from the mistakes of the past.

I sat and watched it that evening myself...just thinking that the moderator isn’t going to give him a ‘pass’ on this. She ‘whipped’ him on several questions, and he just came across as ‘shaken’ at the end. I think he felt he was prepared for the Q-and-A, and he just didn’t grasp the broad parts of the discussion.

He’s not an idiot, but you really need some business-smart guy as Economics Minister. The funny thing....on the polls, he’s generally regarded as the top political figure of the government (even ahead of the Chancellor himself).

Even though the election was just a year ago, there are some elements presently to suggest a falling-out with the coalition government and maybe a new election required by spring of 2023 (I’d give it a 25-percent chance). But I don’t see a lot of improvement to occur over energy woes even with a new election.

No customers, no business.

That is how I lost my shop in 2009 due to Obama Care.

Every time Hussein came on TV to explain his new rules, people around the USA lost their jobs the next day.

I lasted until May of that year.

Just dust off those 100 year old printing presses. Should provide plenty of fuel for heating.

ACA passed in 2009, but it didn’t go into effect immediately.

Germany and the EU have idiots like this putz, we have our DC boobs and the Russians have Putin who has the West by the short hairs, and he knows it. On natural gas alone, after sanctions, Russia is set to get an $80B sanctions windfall this year alone.

VLADIVOSTOK, September 7. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia will fulfill its contracts, but will not supply gas, oil, or coal at a loss.

“There are contractual obligations, supply contracts. But if any political decisions are made that contradict the contracts, we simply will not comply with them. We will not supply anything at all if it contradicts our interests,” he said on Wednesday at the Eastern Economic Forum.

At the same time, Putin laced into the West’s latest proposal of imposing price cap on Russian energy resources as “absolutely stupid”. “This is an absolutely stupid solution. If anyone tries to implement this, it won’t lead to anything good for those who make this decision,”he said on Wednesday at the Eastern Economic Forum.

Organized by the Roscongress Foundation, the Seventh Eastern Economic Forum will be running from September 5 to September 8 in Vladivostok. TASS is the event’s general information partner and its official photohost agency. This year, the theme of the forum is: “On the Path to a Multipolar World.”

Supply times demand determines price It’s the law

liberals pretend not to understand this because it means their regulatory state will never work. See Union, Soviet

Both Europe and Russia are holding dismal cards in their hands. I noticed this week Russian chatter about 10-percent of the freight cars being pulled off operations because of lacking high-quality ballbearings (which had been a product that they imported from Europe). Russians will probably turn to China or India to get a replacement path...whether they meet the ‘grade’ is questionable.

There’s no doubt of political turmoil coming to Europe over the next 12 months, and there’s still a path of folks exiting Russia over continual worries (the brain-drain). But this is mostly a story of how stupid the European governments were for decades....concentrating their focus with Russia as the big provider of natural gas. Then you stir in what is Putin’s biggest mistake of his career...thinking a ten-day war was the obvious outcome of declaring Nazis in the Ukraine.

Spring cannot come early enough, for everyone.

This is the clip, where Habeck says that businesses may have to close for a while but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll be insolvent.

Look at how terrified the man is, he has no idea what he’s doing or what he’s talking about.

Things are going to get very bad very fast now.

Unfortunately, things will have to get downright awful and stay downright awful in Germany for quite a while before they seriously think about rolling back their sacrifices to Gaia. The Germans are idealistic, naive and incredibly stubborn about being hopelessly naive.

Only after shivering in the darkness for a while will it start to dawn on them that gee, they kinda need that fossil fuel stuff and that no, wind and solar ain’t gonna cut it. The whole idea that Germany of all places was going to be able to get much solar energy is enough to make anybody who has ever lived there burst out laughing.

Hope they wake up.
