I rode a subway in NYC a couple of weeks ago and I didn’t remember seeing anyone wearing a mask.

We stopped wearing them in NYC for the most part months ago. The conductors don't bother enforcing the mandate on the trains and nobody really seems to care. The masks did nothing.

Also, the homeless around here, who almost never wore masks, seemed to come through COVID just fine. Their numbers are about the same as they were pre-COVID.

My guess is the mandates got lifted only because the governor's race here is tightening.
