Independent journalist Glenn Greenwald laid out a damning thread outlining what he called the “regime of censorship” — which he said was largely supported by Democrats in Washington, “disinformation experts,” and several others.
Greenwald initially raised the alarm and left The Intercept — the outlet he cofounded — when he was asked to sanitize an article he was writing about then-candidate Joe Biden, his son Hunter, and their past dealings with both China and Ukraine. And in the months since, he has been vocal about coordinated attempts within corporate media to shield Biden and other Democrats from criticism.
“The regime of censorship being imposed on the internet – by a consortium of DC Dems, billionaire-funded ‘disinformation experts,’ the US Security State, and liberal employees of media corporations – is dangerously intensifying in ways I believe are not adequately understood,” Greenwald said on Tuesday to kick off his thread.

“A series of ‘crises’ have been cynically and aggressively exploited to inexorably restrict the range of permitted views, and expand pretexts for online silencing and deplatforming,” Greenwald continued, noting that chief among those crises were: “Trump’s election, Russiagate, 1/6, COVID and war in Ukraine.”
According to Greenwald, what each of those crises had in common was that they “all fostered new methods of repression.”
Greenwald then pivoted to address the failed attempts to get popular podcaster Joe Rogan canceled — for his comments about COVID and potential therapeutics first, and when that didn’t work, for previous statements that were later deemed offensive.

Many on this site still don’t know how FOX news was paid to push those fake vaxes. If they can do this with the fake vaxes, it shouldn’t be a surprise they also get paid to help throw an election.
And people think FOX is on their side. Maybe they allow some conservative speech, but that doesn’t mean they are on your side.

……but I’m still holding on to Tucker, and pray he is truly the good guy he seems to be.
Glenn Greenwald is consistent in his opposition to censorship and in his support of free speech. He’s been consistent throughout the Bush, Obama, Trump and now Biden administrations. Got to respect his integrity and I’m glad there are at least a few voices like his speaking out in defense of free speech.
I like Tucker too. I think he is probably a good guy.
But the story this woman is telling I believe is true because I have heard some others talking that many at Fox were personally paid to push those clot shots.
Tucker didn’t push them, but during that time he wasn’t allowed to say anything negative. That was obvious.
The horrifying scandal is that Bourla, Birx, and the makers of this crime against humanity are all trying to back away from their participation in what I believe to be a murder plot. They knew these shots were not safe and so did the CDC, FDA, NIH ......
Censorship is happening, yes. But we have more alternative sources of information than ever before in history - what is more concerning is that so few have the intellectual curiosity to find them. If Fox News suddenly started putting forth nothing but the conservative viewpoint, it would make everyone on FR happy but how many hearts and minds would be changed? If taking a more balanced approach gets independents and moderate libs to at least watch, maybe some of them will be influenced. That’s what Tucker Carlson is doing.
Hannity is nothing but a conservative echo chamber 100% ofbthebtime, and even many conservatives can’t stand him. So how does that help?
I am waiting to see the term “Judas Goats” properly applied to the complicit, left wing media, as they lead the sheep to the slaughter.

If Tucker were really a good guy, why would he continue to work for Fox when he knows they are in bed with the enemy? Every point in the ratings that Tucker garners means more money for the people trying to screw us all.
And his husband too?
Yes to that because contempt or anger isn’t changing anyone’s sexuality that’s my experience.
When it comes to sex I got my own side of the street to clean up I’ve learned that over the years.
I was a deacon in a church and a real strait-laced “Conservative Christian” in the 1980’s who was told by a guy best man at my wedding that I was:
“acting like an alcoholic”
It took me 20 years to figure out the truth I was being told.
I found out I was a drunk who didn’t drink alcohol walking around preaching to others thinking I was holier than all.
So Yes it’s time to stop fighting and start living rightly “One Day At A Time” as I see it.
I don’t have time to be critical of others I have to want for others what God wants for me.
