What Russia is already doing is making more money than they had been by selling gas to India and China. The dookey4brains sanctions have blown up in nato/neocon/eu faces.
Nope. That’s not really possible and not how gas works. Russia has limited capacity to export gas to China - it has one pipeline from a smaller gas field. There’s no way to export gas to China from its bigger gas fields - would take a decade of work at a minimum to get gas to China. It has minimal LNG export capacity - which is how it would get around its lack of pipeline infrastructure if it had its s**t together, which it most certainly does not.
So I’m sure you’re thinking “so what if Russia’s export capacity to China is already maxed and they’d have to build thousands of miles of new pipelines to get more gas to China, they’re highly motivated so they’ll get it done!” - except an awful lot of the pipeline technology and parts are made in the West and Russia’s going to have a hell of a time getting around sanctions.
