The Kremlin has issued its sharpest comments about cutting off Russia's natural-gas flow to Europe via the key Nord Stream 1 pipeline on Monday, saying supplies wwould not resume until the "collective West" lifts sanctions against Moscow.
"Problems with gas supply arose because of the sanctions imposed on our country by Western states, including Germany and Britain," said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov during a conference call, Reuters reported on Monday.
"We see incessant attempts to shift responsibility and blame onto us. We categorically reject this and insist that the collective West – in this case, the EU, Canada, the UK — is to blame for the fact that the situation has reached the point where it is now," Peskov added, per Reuters.

Remember - little Justine Turdeau's Canuck minions played games with the Siemens turbines.
I believe that Gazprom was trying to get it in writing that it wouldn't be violating sanctions to accept the turbines back from Germany/Canada.
But those two pinhead countries continued to play games.
Too bad, so sad.
Overnight temperatures are dipping into the forties in central Europe, now...
Oh, boy. Trump was right. - Dr. Samuel Beckett
no worries
the people will not freeze
the people will warm themselves by the bonfire
Both sides are cheating on this anyway.
Beginning to sound like four-year-olds.
Trump warned them in 2018, and the Krauts laughed their a$$e$ off. Trump should purchase airtime on European TV and rub their noses in it.
I would have posted it, but I read somewhere on FR that we're not supposed to post Zero Hedge. Is that true?
Putin screwed the pooch and there is no going back.

Beijing Is Quietly Reselling Russian Natural Gas to Europe
A ‘circuitous bypass of Russian sanctions by a hypocritical Europe’
VLADIVOSTOK, September 6. /TASS/. Russia will continue supplies of energy resources to friendly states and redirect supplies in case G7 countries set a cap for Russian oil and gas, Energy Minister Nikolay Shulginov told reporters on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum.
“Any actions, including on establishment of a price cap [for oil and gas] create conditions for having deficit and increase price volatility. Russia as a reliable partner will be providing energy resources to partners in friendly states and, certainly, saturate the domestic market,” the Minister noted.
Russia will stop supplies of oil and petroleum products to countries and companies introducing the price cap, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said earlier.

Russia is going to keep gas production volumes on account of increasing liquefied natural gas (LNG) deliveries and construction of pipelines to China, Energy Minister Nikolay Shulginov told TASS in the interview at the Eastern Economic Forum.
“The capacity of the Power of Siberia-2 [gas pipeline] will be almost 50 bln cubic meters per year according to the plan. We will not merely scale up the pipeline capacity but we will also expand LNG production: it has mobility and excellent purchases on the global market. We will change the policy and endeavor to keep basic volumes of production. We have reserves actually,” Shulginov said.
“We expect the LNG production growth to 80-100 mln [tonnes] by 2030 against current 30 mln. The increase is significant,” the Minister added.
There’s been two stories.
Bloomberg talked about the double of purchased Russian natural gas in July, and after that, there was speculation that some Chinese folks (maybe not the gov’t) were in the second-selling business to countries in Europe. Problem is...it’s in LNG form, and not that many countries in Europe have the ports to handle that.
Second story, I noticed this week...someone from Switzerland noticed both oil and LNG being sold out of Qatar, which had characteristics that would lead back to Iran/Venezuela/Russia. Second-sales case is building up there. Probably not the Qatar gov’t, but someone figured the doubling of profits and has done masking of the original product.

When the European military was sent into Kabul to pick up their citizens who were left behind after our botched withdrawal from that country, it should have been made clear to Europe that if they’re going to listen to our suggestions, they better have a Plan B.
How is all green energy working for the Europeans now?
