Because Joe is so likable after giving his raging Mussolini speech.

No, he's not, and it may end up costing him some votes. But that's the entire point!! You don't want candidates to do crap that needlessly offends voters. Just as that dumbass, offensive speech hurt Biden with some voters, Trump sometimes does the same. And that is frustrating as hell to those of us who don't want to freaking lose in 2024. So it would be nice if Trump could keep all the policies, but just tone down some of the rhetoric just a bit so as to not alienate people whose votes we are going to need.

Written like the neocon, establishment Republican we all know you are.

Trump won the last election. Easily. He'll win again easily so long as the Democrats' ability to rig the election is taken away.

“But that’s the entire point!! You don’t want candidates to do crap that needlessly offends voters.”

It’s kind of the opposite. Biden’s crap needlessly did offend voters — more than half of the population. The sheer meanness of it was stunning.

Compare that to Trump. Ninety-five percent of Trump’s campaigns have been reaching out to people to DRAW THEM IN e.g., “What have you got to lose?”

He “sometimes does the same”, you say? Does he lie? Does he call the voters / citizens nasty names? He calls certain specific pols names, but never entire blocks of people who might disagree with him.
