According to The Washington Times, Muldrow, a security specialist from North Carolina, faces up to a year in prison after stopping a man who allegedly pistol-whipped a bar patron.

Muldrow’s crime? He brought a gun within 100 feet of a public building in Baltimore — in Maryland, a state with one of the toughest gun control policies in the nation.

No good deed goes unpunished. Some cop made his quota this month without actually having to do anything dangerous. It's so much easier collecting a pay check charging the good guys than it is to find and arrest the bad guys, plus time and a half for showing up in court. They have an incentive to charge as many people as possible with as much as possible. Give them a straight monthly salary and watch the nuisance prosecutions drop.
