My Form 1 SBR for 300BLK was built with a 10.5 inch barrel for that exact reason. The Form 4 9mm has an 8.5 inch barrel. I intentionally avoided pistol braces in anticipation of waffling by ATF. It may be cheaper to convert pistol barrels to 16.1 inch and change buffer tubes to use standard collapsible stocks.

Fortunately, none of the pistols that I used to have (before the boat accident) ever required nor used any kind of brace. Not even the Dirty Harry special S&W Model 29 (with the 8 3/8 inch barrel for a perfect 10 inch sight radius).

Seems like the jack booted thugs are always looking for new ways to find and disarm the people.

The ATF can’t just change the law absent Congress, and the President lacks the power to order such a change as well.

They, along with the EPA, and the rest of the federal alphabet agencies have been doing such for decades. until they're all reigned in, they'll try to keep doing it.

Another thing you stupid prick, I know a couple of veterans in my gun club who enjoy the sport but conventional rifles and carbines were too heavy and hard for them to handle. Then they discovered the AR pistol platform with the strapped brace they could put on their forearm and shoot accurately and more importantly, safely.
