Newsom is vile.

His closest advisors are communists and lunatics.

Just my takes on it.

So, Gruesome Newsom is now governor of 18 states? That’s a nice gig if you can get it.

Virginia already did when the rats controlled everything two years ago they passed a law saying Virginia will use California laws/standards!

Virginia passed a law under the Democrats linking them to California ‘standards’. The new governor, Youngkin, wants that law gone, but doesn’t yet have the votes (as I understand it).

But I think a reasonable legal case could be made by Youngkin in that no one in Virginia voted to end the sales of gasoline cars, and so that ban should be put up to a vote.

I live in Appalachia, there isn’t a charging place anywhere.
People here drive 20 year old pickup trucks, they will never be able to afford a battery car.

For any mandate to take hold and to stick around for years, there would have to be one-party rule in the states that issue the mandates, and the White House would have to be occupied by democrats for 2 or more decades in a row.

So, no, mandates were meant to be broken and even killed. That is, unless the mandates become laws that all states had to follow. But then, that would make the mandates unconstitutional, with states’ rights being broken all over the place.

Let the blue states isolate and kill their economies, while the red states continue their economic booms. BTW, the only reason that the national economy has not crashed completely, is because the red states continue to keep the economy from collapsing completely, while the blue states continue to experience economic downturns. It’s the same as when Obama was president, where the only economic growth was in red states, allowing the national economy to experience some growth, albeit, low growth.

Did I read correctly that there aren’t enough rare Earth metals on this planet needed for the batteries to sustain an electric vehicle for every person in California, let along the entire country?

> More than a dozen states are debating whether to adopt California’s plan to ban new gas cars by the year 2035. <

If they do, then when California has a brown-out those states should shut off their electricity. It’s a solidarity thing.

Try not to worry.

By 2035, the impossibility of this project will have been clear for many years, and either the California Legislature will extend the deadline to 2040, then 2045, and so on, or the Military Government of the Territory of California will have eliminated this and many other foolish actions of the Legislature of the Former State of California.

And the mandaters will be voted right out of office when they try it.

It’ll be so unpopular, they won’t be able to cheat enough to overcome the margins.

Mandate electric cars then ration electricity. It’s not hard to see the brilliance in this scheme. It’s right up there with crush the petroleum industry industry to drive up fuel prices and wreck food production to create food scarcity. Do all of these things while flooding the economy with worthless currency to destroy purchasing power. Then rant and shriek about everybody who criticizes you and accuse them of undermining democracy.
