Dahle, a Republican was buying the goat from the Fair assn.

BTW, Dahle is running for CA Governor.

If the parents didn’t want somebody to eat Cedar, the Mom should have gone to the auction and bid.

Buying an animal was probably seen as a campaign-friendly, goodwill doing—but then they botched it by not responding to the circumstances.
