No sense having heavy bombers if you’re afraid to lose some in combat.

Do remember the Russian Congress has not even mobilized its massive army yet, it is obvious their regular military ( 900,000 plus) is in place if NATO decides to do something stupid. Vlad is doing just fine with his 130,000 in Ukraine, exactly why it is a SMO ( special military operation)….do note India is currently participating in joint Russian / Indian military operations.
Thanks to the senile old man, 75 percent of the world populations military is aligned against us. War cheerleaders, wake up before it is to late.
Not my circus. Not my monkeys.
I mostly follow it just for entertainment.
The way you're discussing these numbers is misleading as hell. Their "regular military" of 900K+ includes all branches of their military. Strategic, naval, air, ground, etc.. When you juxtapose that 900K with the 130K (or whatever...) that invaded Ukraine, it makes it look like they only sent in about 15% of their troops. But in fact, the percentage is much higher because the ground forces are only 280K or so. So they sent in 130k, have sent more in since, then, and their total army is only 280k.
Ukraine has been a massive commitment for them, and they've taken horrible losses. There is no big reserve of the "rest" of the army from which to draw.
Beyond their active duty army, they don't have anything like the reserve system we have. They'd essentially need to start a draft, and train whatever recruits they could scrounge from the ground up.
