China has been simulating attacks on US Navy ships and is aiming to prevent foreign forces from coming to Taiwan's aid in the event of a war, Taiwan's defence ministry said in a strongly worded report raising the alarm on Beijing's military designs.
Tensions between Taiwan and China have soared following a visit to Taipei last month by US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, which infuriated Beijing, which viewed it as an interference in its affairs.
China, which claims democratically-governed Taiwan as its own despite the strong objections of the Taipei government, carried out war games after Pelosi's trip and is continuing its military activities near the island.

Yeh, and that’s all they’ll have the stones to do.
“…Taiwan’s defence ministry said…”
As with Ukraine, half the battle will be pumping out enough advocacy to keep the Americans interested and willing to pump in billions. It won’t be as easy, though, as Taiwan lacks land borders with friendly countries.
So what. It’s called training. We simulate attacks on PLA forces.
China’s going to find, in the event of a nonsimulation, the US Navy fires back.
The American government simulates attacks on America too. Details of their plan tonight in President Biden’s speech.
China will not invade Taiwan. China will blockade Taiwan. Taiwan’s economy would collapse in hours. Taiwan would be starved out in weeks. WWIII will be to carriers what the American Civil War was to wooden hulled ships and WWII was to battleships. If the USN tries to run the blockade China will sink a carrier and we can all kiss our arses goodbye.
China will not attack anyone until the right moment when we are distracted by one of the following: 1) War with Russia, 2) war with Iran, 3) Massive natural disaster in USA like a huge hurricane or Earthquake. 4) Civil War in USA, 5) Depression and social unrest in America.
China isn’t going to do jack to us.
I’m sure we have contingency war plans for every single country.
Yes, likely true, and they wouldn’t attack us directly either. They’ll nip around the edges of our alliances first, taking out the targets that are easiest for them to subjugate, and hardest for us to defend.
But the key question, geopolitically, in that whole area of the world is not “what will China do?” but “what will India do?” We already can basically predict what China, Russia, the Koreas, Japan, etc will do. India remains an open question, and a very significant player that could impact everything depending on which side they finally decide to fall on.
“I’m sure we have contingency war plans for every single country.”
I would be surprised if we didn’t.
It would be negligence to not have those contingencies.
Of course they have.
Your fainting couch awaits you in China.
Maybe we should all surrender because you told us to.
The United States and its allies in the Pacific, and some European allies, can devastate the Chinese military.
They know that which is why they seek to undermine our will.
You are correct. But it’s only our weakness which invites the global conflict we and our allies might win or might not.
All these trillions wasted on green energy and social programs should have been pumped into the military.
But no, we’ll elect leftists and wait for the uncertain outcome of a horrific world War.
Heck, Strategic Air Command nightly simulated nuclear bombing runs on US cities! No weapons of course.
Can I confirm that you think we should let china take Taiwan ?
You are correct. China will most likely blockade Taiwan. The USN/USMC supported by the USAF will immediately move to re-occupy islands in the Solomons and Gilberts (flashback to WW2) and most likely the PLAN will lose a few major ships on the blockade line to US attack subs an minefields. Those are just the opening moves.
