More of a KGB or Gestapo.

On second thought, our FBI/DOJ is more NKVD than KGB.

Republicans took control of the Senate following the 2014 mid-terms. Republicans took control of the SSCI [Senate Select Committee for Intelligence] in January 2015. Senator Richard Burr became chairman of SSCI, Dianne Feinstein Vice-Chair... Harry Reid left the Senate, Mitch McConnell took power again.

Republicans were in control of the Senate Intelligence Committee in 2015 when the Intelligence... operation against... Donald Trump was underway. (Feinstein staffer Dan Jones left SSCI so he could act as liaison and political operative between private-sector efforts—Fusion GPS, Chris Steele—and SSCI.) The SSCI was a participant in that Fusion GPS/Chris Steele operation... as a direct consequence, Republicans were inherently tied to [the operation]. Indiana Republican Senator Dan Coats was a member of the SSCI.

Bottom line…. When it came to the intelligence system targeting Donald Trump during the 2015/2016 primary, the GOP was just as much at risk as their Democrat counterparts.

When Trump unexpectedly won the 2016 election, the SSCI was shocked more than most. They knew countermeasures would need to be deployed to protect themselves from exposure of their intelligence conduct. Immediately Senator Feinstein stepped down from SSCI, and Senator Mark Warner was elevated to Vice Chairman.

Indiana’s own Mike Pence, now Vice President, recommended ...SSCI Senator Dan Coats to become President Trump’s Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).

The Senate Intel Committee facilitates the corrupt existence of the IC Branch, so the IC Branch only cooperates with the Senate Intel Committee. It really is that simple.

• The Intelligence Branch carefully selects its own members by controlling how security clearances are investigated and allowed (FBI). The Intelligence Branch also uses compartmentalization of intelligence as a way to keep each agency, and each downstream branch of government (executive, legislative and judicial), at arm’s length as a method to stop anyone from seeing the larger picture of their activity. I call this the “silo effect“, and it is done by design.

I have looked at stunned faces when I presented declassified silo product from one agency to the silo customers of another. You would be astonished at what they don’t know because it is not in their ‘silo’.

This is a very good analysis. I can’t argue with a single point he makes.

There seems to be one disconnect, between his assertion that the intelligence community is in full control of all classification, and the assertion made by many on alternate media since the Mar a Lago raid that the President can classify or declassify at will. Can anyone explain?

If Trump did only half of what they are afraid he’d do, he’d be my favorite president of all time.

But what they’re afraid he would do is mostly in their heads…

True, but also ‘cause they truly have nothing else to offer; much less anything else to say.

What has happened to FreeRepublic? How can you be so clueless?

It's sweet that you posted your opinion, but what has happened to FR is that people don't read the linked article and comment upon its specifics. They just comment on the headline, and often the headline does not lead in the direction of the poster's personal opinion.

Yup! They’re all-in ... even with a p*ss-poor hand they have long sleeves and they know the party they’re playing with just wants to play nice ... to not be too judgmental, y’know. (What an effed-up situation we have here! A SNAFU of epic proportions!)

Trump has all the documented evidence. And he still does. He has copies. He's not that stupid.

Correct, he peeled back the layers of the onion as President which allowed him to see this mess clearly. Which of course is why they are going after him right now to the extent that they are, historical, against all previous norms. He's got the goods.

The Bush administration built a turnkey police state and turned the keys over to a man they knew was an ineligible Kenyan from Indonesia.

It goes all the way back to Hoover when he was in charge of the FBI. No President was able to hold him accountable.

The FBI could not have tracked down so many "J-Sixers" that efficiently without using NSA technologies initially intended for use on actual terrorists (insert me sitting at outdoor table with Prove Me Wrong sign). If any of those poor bastards had truly competent attorneys that would be presented along with the blatant violations of their basic rights - followed by counter-suits of their own outside of the Beltway. Bundle them together for billions like talcum powder and botched implants.

But that alone won't dismantle the un-elected 4th Branch - the Intelligence State. Their M.O. of secrecy, basic to their occupations, has allowed them to fly under the public's radar without boundaries for so long they spy on us in violation of Constitutional rights, lie to Congress with impunity and now invade the rightful President's home fishing for or planting evidence to stop Trump's probable run for re-election.

As someone pointed out, this started with FISA long before Homeland Security was created. We were told not to worry; citizens were safe from surveillance and abuses of privacy. I recall Americans were told the Immigration Act of 1965 wouldn't be a problem, either; but here we are tripping over illegals just turning around too quickly.

Our fellow citizens can't eradicate this problem when even most of our elected representatives are either ignorant of it or going along with it. Hard to get the word out even now when too many of today's conspiracies turn out to be true tomorrow.

He was a big goose egg versus the Swamp for four years. From what I can tell, Trump is still surrounding himself with same failed first term “advisors”.

What I can’t understand is why Trump, as sitting president, didn’t deem them released and open to public view. Rather, Trump authorizes swamp kingpin, Barr, to release when he’s ready. Barr buried it all immediately. Now with this tied up in Dunham’s “investigation” and the new Mar a Lago fishing expedition, we will NEVER see the actual evidence. If Trump releases it, guaranteed some DC kangaroo court convicts him.

FR has changed vastly over the decade, imo. But so has a lot
of the world, politics, illnesses, etc. etc. Life goes on for the
living until their day is called to meet their maker.

Take and few moments to think/review how this section of the
world called North America and specifically the USA since 1492
when Columbus sailed the ocean blue. Think of the government,
inhabitants, rules regarding men vs women, black vs white,
freedoms vs restrictions, wealth vs poor, slavery, etc. etc. etc.

Things will continue to change until the end be it death for
each of us or some worldwide event. Nuclear or whatever
the end of times turns out to be.

Apparently not even multi billionaires and former Presidents are at the same level of hindsight genius as you.
