looks like a more recent version of something posted about 4 weeks ago (before mar a lago raid?).
i am beginning to sense that the Deep State may want to de-legitimize not just Trump but anyone who supported Trump in 2016 and/or supports Trump now and/or supports Trump policies (eg MAGA) now.
In concrete terms that would imply that anyone who has used any social media or email to indicate support for Trump or Trump policies such as MAGA could soon be accused of being a threat to US national security interests. The offenders could be tracked down by FBI, methods validated by DNI (precedent: US v Trump 2022), indicted and thrown into jail without reasonable bail until a far away trial date (say 1+ years into the future), and prosecuted by deep pockets DOJ types. Federal courts are said to have a conviction rate of 90%, sometimes by shady (biased/unconstitutional) trial methods condoned by shady federal judges.
The deep state goal in this case seems to be to control the narrative by controlling the non-liberal political leadership. The leadership (politicians, thinkers, demonstrators) who are pro-Trump and pro-MAGA will be selected, monitored, picked off and sent to prison. without such leadership, the only voices broadcast to the masses will become the Deep State voices broadcasting Deep State messages.
I suppose we will all know when the time comes when institutions such as FR are taken down for violating so called national security considerations.

if the FBI, DOJ and other 3 letter federal agencies are shown to be in violation of constitutional principles, it is impingent upon state entities to show these agencies the state border.

Haven’t read it yet, but DC lives in a bubble of epic proportions. Huge bubble. They don’t know what they don’t know, even more than those in NYC or LA. I have relatives there, and they know practically nothing about the middle of the country. They think they are THE smartest people on the planet, bar none. Yet they know how to do so little that’s practical.

You are absolutely correct. The Patriot Act put FISA on steroids and focused it on American citizens.

The government claims that the telephone records program that was the subject of the leaked Verizon court order is authorized under the so-called “business records” provision of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), first enacted in 1978. That provision was amended by Section 215* of the Patriot Act in 2001. Section 215 allows the government to obtain a secret court order requiring third parties, such as telephone companies, to hand over any records or other “tangible thing” if deemed “relevant” to an international terrorism, counterespionage, or foreign intelligence investigation. Section 215 orders may have been combined with requests under other provisions of the Patriot Act, such as Section 216, which governs access to online activity, such as email contact information or Internet browsing histories.
With respect to PRISM, the government cites Section 702 of the FISA Amendments Act, a law first passed in 2008 and reauthorized in 2012. Section 702 allows the government to acquire foreign intelligence by targeting non-U.S. persons “reasonably believed” to be outside U.S. borders. The law explicitly prohibits intentionally targeting people known to be located inside the U.S. at the time the government acquires the data. It also requires the government to establish certain “targeting procedures” to ensure that the government is targeting people “reasonably believed” to be outside the United States (which can be difficult to ascertain when dealing with internet or cell phone communications). In addition, the government must adopt “minimization procedures” to guard against the inadvertent collection, retention, and dissemination of information about U.S. persons.
