I think that is the summary.

The details are what’s interesting.

before the JWST was launched into orbit, Hubble's imagery was "missing all the colder stars and the older stars. We were really only seeing the hot young ones."

They thought they were looking at Hollywood stars.

"The models just don't predict this,"

So tell me more about "global warming".

Just wait until they see our own galaxy and realize the universe is a loop.

Engineers make small-minded theorists look like fools all the time.

Too many folks mistake the “Big Bang” for a Big Explosion.

The Universe was a LOT smaller back then. Things could build up fast because there was less room between clumps of matter.

There is even a theory that there were massive “dark matter” stars that were causing matter to clump.

Who knows. No human was around to see.

Keep clinging to the old religion Chad_the_Impaler. Maybe you can blow up the Webb telescope and save us from the truth. The universe is infinite.

We have no clue what is going on with the “universe”.

The more we know the more we should realize we do not know.

Humility is a virtue—especially when dealing with such matters.

“The models just don’t predict this,”

Predicting the past is kind of an odd concept when you think about it too much.

Folks, particularly those many of you who aren't scientists and have an ugly habit of sneering at science that you don't understand at all:

"The models just don't predict this,"

THAT IS WHY WE MAKE MORE AND BETTER OBSERVATIONS. WE LIKE TO LEARN NEW THINGS. WE LIKE TO GET RID OF MODELS AND THEORIES THAT DON'T WORK, AND REPLACE THEM WITH BETTER MODELS AND THEORIES.

That's how science works.

The people who know they don't know everything, and are happy with new discoveries, are scientists.

The people who think they know it all are flim-flam artists.

Maybe God/the Supreme Being was in a hurry that day-or maybe He just wanted to do something different-no one knows the mind of God-and that illustrates why science can never, ever be “settled”...

Well, I guess “science” is going to have to go research Genesis 1 to find the correct answer.

I was trying to explain British humor to a young woman. I gave up and said, “Okay, it’s an acquired taste.”

“imagery has revealed those galaxies to be shockingly massive, not to mention balanced and well-formed”

God has a way of creating things that way — balanced and well formed.

“There’s no such thing as gravity as a force. That’s hard to let go.”

When did they teach that? I never heard that before.

Ah yes, the models. We can’t produce energy because of the models. The models required us to be locked down for a year and a half. The models predicted NYC would be underwater 6 years ago and so on and so on and so on.

yep. DOUBT, not trust lays at the heart of the scientific method.

Its all about facts and evidence. It is never about opinions....ie some illusory “consensus”.
