I reckon the smart ones won’t riot, per se.
But the smart ones should also take down the instigators - on the spot - video them first instigating, multiple parties swarm them, quietly put them down, then once they’re down, check them for ID, see if you can find their affiliation, take their picture, wire ties on wrists behind the back - then just continue on protesting peacefully.
