I think this carrier is a platform for US warplanes. They don’t have their own.

Not a good look. IIRC, a French aircraft carrier had a screw despindlement some years back.

The Brits and the French should just buy aircraft carriers from the Americans. We have experience. They don’t. They only other nations I would probably trust to build any aircraft carrier is Germany. But they are reluctant to be assertive with their military, which is understandable.
To: Nextrush
I think they have had a number of problems with their engines, not just on the aircraft carriers, but frigates/destroyers as well.

only other nations I would probably trust to build any aircraft carrier is Germany The Germans build fantastic cruise ships (Meyer Werft for example, at their Papenburg shipyard). That ability should extend to AC's and other military vessels too.

There was a time when tbe British built damn fine aircraft carriers. Or, at least the Irish workers at Harland and Wolff did. Now, not so much.
