After receiving responses to open records requests, State Rep. Bryan Slaton (R–Royse City) released findings from an investigation led by his office revealing that public Texas medical schools have been teaching child gender modification.
“Repeatedly, the people of Texas have been told, ‘This kind of thing isn’t going on in Texas.’ And yet, the exact opposite is true,” Slaton said. “Not only are young children being subjected to barbaric gender-modification practices like surgeries and puberty-blocking drugs on a daily basis, but these practices are being taught to the next generation of doctors in some of our public medical schools.”
The University of North Texas (UNT) is among the schools revealed to be teaching the practice, with UNT’s Pharmacy 7205 class currently teaching “advanced skills in providing pharmaceutical care to the LGBT community.”
In Galveston, the University of Texas Medical Branch also admitted that drugs such as testosterone and estrogen have been administered for gender-transition purposes within the context of an internal-medicine clerkship—a period of medical education where a student practices medicine under the guidance of a health practitioner.
In Dallas, UT Southwestern offered an “Adolescent and Young Adult Transgender Care” course, where students have an “in-depth educational experience working with transgender youth and adults.” The university also admitted that students observed mastectomy or breast augmentation procedures related to gender transitions. The school also has worked directly with the notorious GENECIS Clinic, which performed gender mutilation procedures and hormone “therapy” on children.
While many schools have tried to hide their programs that support the mutilation of children, Slaton says additional investigations are needed and the programs ought to be removed.
The revelation that some of these practices are being taught in public medical schools is abhorrent. Additional investigation into these medical schools should be done so that the people of Texas can have an even clearer idea of what their tax dollars are supporting. No one in their right mind believes that surgically removing healthy body parts and ingesting an unnatural amount of hormones and drugs is the right answer to a mental condition. I am calling for a swift end to these bogus and harmful medical practices, and look forward to my colleagues joining me in this common-sense fight.

I’m a law-abiding individual. I measure my statements to make sure that’s clear. I don’t know what else to say.
Can anyone explain why male circumcision is accepted, female circumcision is considered a human rights violation and gender reassignment in children is embraced without parental input? Unless there is a medical reason such a history of infection or defect preventing normal functioning how about we all agree to leave genitalia as they were issued at gestation and maturation?
People have to keep reminding these evil folks a 46% suicide rate is NOT a positive nor benefiting anyone. I have no idea what the suicide rates are for children being mutilated but I’d suggest since that 46% rate is easily found( or was) it has to be much higher.
Even if surgeries are successful those doctors have to know half their patients will kill themselves.

Make circumcision is a religious rite that became a somewhat common practice for hygiene. Female circumcision is mutilation to control women. Child sex change surgery is child abuse.
