Russian forces are putting the "entire continent at risk" by using Europe's biggest nuclear power plant as a military base, Ukraine's foreign minister has said.
The Zaporizhzhia plant has come under severe shelling recently, with Ukraine and Russia blaming each other for the attacks.
Fears have been raised that the fighting could cause a radiation leak.
"For decades, nuclear safety has remained Ukraine's top priority, especially given our tragic past," Dmytro Kuleba said, referring to the Chernobyl disaster in 1986.
"Russian invaders turned the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant [NPP] into a military base putting the entire continent at risk.
"Russian military must get out of the plant - they have nothing to do there."
While the facility is occupied by Russia, it is run by Ukrainian workers.
This morning, Ukrainian officials claimed Russian rocket and artillery strikes hit areas near the plant, across the Dnieper River.

Simple solution… just have “observers” at the NPP. Anyone with hearing can tell from which direction incoming artillery shells are arriving.
From the Ukrainian controlled side of the river? It sure isn’t the Russians.
Why would the Russians shoot at themselves? Makes no sense.
They have had possession of that plant since March.
Ukraine is doing the shelling because they want UN intervention and control of the plant given back to them. The plant was Soviet built, so both sides know how to run it.
That does make sense.
I saw a “secret” video with 5 trucks, unknown cargo.
That’s hardly a military base.
Ukraine is full of sh!t, as always.

Russia has no motive to attack this nuclear plant, on the contrary it has every reason to avoid an accident there. Zelensky however, along with his neocon puppet masters, would love to blame Russia for a nuclear incident.

It’s bad enough that he posts stories that OBVIOUSLY are lies, but then he doubles-down by agreeing with these stories.

The United States and its NATO allies are supporting Ukraine as it fights off an invasion from Russia.
How is reporting on what is going on in that invasion and with the principals, with the effects of our help and weapons, and with anything that can affect our kids and FR members who are on active duty in NATO, not be simply reporting the news?

That’s all fine, but it’s literally OBVIOUS that the only side that needs to shell the nuke plant to get an accident started is Ukraine. Russia can simply “turn off the cooling” if they want a meltdown, since they’re running the facility.
We need reporting of the news to be able to follow a war, there is no spamming in posting threads by major news sources.
This war takes real effort to try and figure out what is going on, we read and we try and get a feel for what is real and truthful, the way the Russians used to read their news sources and probably still do, it is a struggle and imperfect.

Then he should have simply posted the story and not act like he agreed with it, since there’s nothing to debate on the story - it’s a flat-out lie that Russia is doing the shelling. Had he not done that and only posted the story, I would have left it alone, like I’ve done with the rest of his stories.
