Direct intervention would mean US troops on the ground or aircraft in the sky. There's no sign of that yet, although F22s have been forward deployed to the airbase in Łask, southeast of Łodz in the center of Poland. They join some A10s deployed in June in northwest Poland.
If we send troops into Ukraine, does that mean we are at war, formerly, with Russia?
Just asking for a friend.
The Bear seems pretty arthritic at this point.
Fools
Not a fight for US military. Ukraine can fight for themselves.
“China must be waiting for the timing to go after Taiwan so the USA is fight land and sea in two theaters.”
World War III is on the horizon.
How many American cities are volunteering to be vaporized? Los Angeles? New York City, that likes to boast of its Trump hatred? Chicago?
Anyone ever read what happens when a city is hit by a hydrogen bomb? Like nothing that has ever happened on this earth.
Ukraine would be air/ground and Taiwan naval. We’re about the only power that could do both simultaneously on opposite sides of the Earth, although certainly not at the ops tempo we were once capable of.
Operation 10%
And what happens when the Russians kill a bunch of American soldiers there?
KEEP OUR TROOPS OUTTA THAT HELLHOLE!
If their attempts to con enough of the population into voting for them in the mid-terms don’t work, they’ll just start a war.
They're just doing what they should have done from the start and putting a general in charge of coordinating support.
It’s Operation ‘How do we stop the midterm election by starting WW3’.
bullshit article as it make a bullshit WSJ reference.
Special military mission?? Didn’t Putin call his invasion by 200K troops a special military operation?? James Donald’s character at the end of River Kwai said, “ Madness! Madness!” That’s where this is going.
So he plans to go to war without a declaration from Congress!? Well that ought to be interesting
The WSJ never said they is going to be active U.S. intervention in Ukraine. That is the Intel Drop's opinion of the WSJ story, which they did not separate from what they reported about the WSJ story.
The story of $3 billion in aid for Ukraine was released on Wednesday. Freepers ignore it. The conspiracies come out on Friday. Then we pay attention.
This is the standard of posting on FR these days.
As I’ve been saying all along, these reckless and incompetent fools are going for WW3, no question about it. I’ve heard several academic foreign policy analysts say that with China quickly building up its military capabilities and Russia sitting on huge natural resources that will allow them increasing influence in the world, that this is the US’s last chance to whittle them down to size before they overtake us. Maybe they think they can accomplish this without nukes flying, but I wouldn’t want to count on that with the idiots we have running the show. If you think the last 2 years were stressful, well you haven’t seen nothing yet. Be prepared.
From an earlier post:
“This latest package includes laser-guided rocket systems, six National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems (NASAMS) with additional ammunition, 24 counter-artillery radars, Puma Unmanned Aerial Systems, VAMPIRE Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems, 245,000 rounds of 155mm artillery ammunition, 65,000 rounds of 120mm mortar ammunition, and additional funding for Ukrainian forces’ training and maintenance.”
245,000 rounds of 155 mm? This is going well into spring, next year.
