House Republicans are not only forecast to win control of the lower chamber in November’s midterm elections, they’re also poised to bring with them a roster of new arrivals who have embraced the former president
A number of Trump loyalists have bumped off more moderate Republicans in the summer primaries — a list that grew longer on Tuesday with conservative victories in Florida and New York — while a number of other centrists are stepping into retirement.
The combination foreshadows a power shift in the House GOP that has the potential to complicate any bipartisan compromise with President Biden, while creating headaches for Republican leaders who will face pressure to demonstrate their governing chops in a new majority.
“I believe that [House Minority Leader] Kevin McCarthy [Calif.] would have a rough time of it,” said David Mayhew, a political scientist at Yale University.
Joe Kent, a former Green Beret, defeated pro-impeachment Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler in a Washington GOP primary earlier this month with the help of an endorsement from Trump. Running as an “America First” Republican, he railed against the “establishment” and publicly said that McCarthy, the House GOP leader, should not be Speaker.
And he’s hardly alone.

Of the 242 Republicans in the majority in 2017, 134 of them are gone. Some were defeated (by democrats or republicans), some retired, and some moved on to other offices (Desantis, Noem and Pompeo for example).
But most of the Boehner Boys are gone. Most of Paul Ryan's committee chairmen are gone. And a whole slew of RINOs have been purged.
The MSN piece notes the loss of RINOs will threaten compromise with Biden. Yeah. Cuz Brandon has been so full of compromise so far. Well, full of something.
He’ll probably present a new front after his so-called Unity Summit.
If the MSM and a roomfull of Republicans are in the same room, and there is only ONE RINO among the assembled Republicans, guess which one will have micro phone jammed in their face and be propped up by the MSM whores as the facto GOP leader?

Now, if we could send Kevin McCarthy and his cronies to the showers....
They tout that McCarthy supported David Valadeo and Young Kim. If I were in either of those districts, I’d vote for the Democrat just to get each of them out. We have to play hardball just as much as the RINOs do. Purging them is job #1. We probably won’t have enough to oust McCarthy in the next two years but if we stick with it, we’ll probably be able to after 2024. Its gonna take a few more election cycles to pry loose the RINOs grip on power.
We need MAGA candidates! Not GOP second rate, red haired step children conservatives. Imagine what two honest to God MAGA originalists, caucusing with the republicans in the senate, could do in guiding the party. Rand Paul and Josh Hawley are the only 90+% pubbies in the senate currently.
Don’t forget Ron Johnson and my personal fav is Kennedy from LA. he is a hoot no nonsense Senator!! We have 4 maybe 5 with Cruz out of 50 it is our own fault we held our noses for DECADES and voted these bastards in, we keep winning elections and just TAKE A LONG HARD LOOK at your country SPIT!!! More Trump people in the House have no effect whatsoever on the Left’s ability to compromise. They just don’t get as good a Socialist-Marxist deal as they were hoping for. There is nothing complicated about that. If they decide not to make any deal at all we are all better off.

Exactly. The GOP backbench is still almost entirely the same. Including my useless Congressman. That is the bulk of the caucus and who will make McCarthy leader again. We see the GOTV gaslighting before every election to get the GOP base out.
