“Nord I and Nord II will eventually be reopened as well as all other resources on one condition, set forth militarily if need be, by Russia. Europe must break with the Americans. And they will.

And there you have it the Dugin doctrine stated in a nutshell, “Europe must break with the Americans”. And, of course, “on one condition, set forth militarily if need be, by Russia.”

Despite some very detailed and interesting information and discussion provided by MalPearce and RevMom, this writers bottom line is, “The best thing that could happen is the US provoking another war for the purpose of preserving hegemony, and losing decisively. The silver lining is that is happening now.”

It is a grim thoughtm but I think it anyway. Some people are unpersuadable, or their allegiences are not to either the US, western Europe, or freedom and self-determination. Very sad.

That may be what Dugin thinks, but I'm very skeptical that will actually be Russian policy. I mean, claiming that it will be "set forth militarily" by Russia is a whole lot of bluster that they cannot back up. And I completely disagree with the idea that the Europeans would succumb to a demand to "break with the U.S." as the price for getting Russian fuel. Dugin has some pretty wild delusions of grandeur there.

Even at the height of its power, the Soviet Union couldn't have accomplished any of that. The Russian rump state doesn't have a prayer.
