Imagine that. Lack of interest eh? Get booteejudge on the phone STAT!
Lack of demand? Does this guy think we live in some kind of free market?
I fear that the government is going to command that the “consumers” “demand” them.
We in the ruling class donât care. âConsent of the governedâ is a quaint relic. Weâll mandate them, and make it painful if you donât comply. It doesnât matter that the grid canât sustain the demand. Electric cars, windmills and choo choos are to cool not to just force them down your throat because they seem like good ideas to us.
Who would have guessed most people don’t want EVs. The Prous has been around since the early 2000’s with even more hybrid/EV models in recent years.
As a example in 2021 Chevy sold 106k Tahoes, not known for being a budget-friendly or great on gas vehicle but only 24k Bolt EVs. The tech isn’t ready yet. I can fill my gas SUV in in 5 minutes at the local gas station, but need a app to find the nearest charger, hope you don’t have to wait hours in line to get a spot, then 30-60 minutes for a charge.
You can’t beat the ease of maintenance, quick refueling, ability to refuel from a 5 gallon gas can if needed, etc of gas cars.
The lack of demand will not slow down the WH whose primary goal is to “transform” America.
But pressure from the people might. Their plan is that slow and eliminate production of gas/diesel vehicles. Those prices will rise making the difficult to purchase and operate. Private transportation will become expensive and the people of America will become very unhappy. The future is uncertain but can get scary with dems running the government!!
I am looking forward to a big electric vehicle boom in LA when lake mead finally dries up
If CornPop and his puppet masters continue to have their way, lack of interest isnât going to matter.
Goes to the saying: beatings will continue until morale improvesâŚ..orâŚâŚwe will make gas so expensive and continue to reward EV buyers with taxpayer money until everyone is forced to buy one.
Iâm 53 and I recently bought a Honda Fit which I donât drive often or far so I expect it may be my last car. I have no problem keeping my Hondas and Toyotas until 200K+. The problem will arise only when gas stations become few and far betweenâŚ.
