The federal agency created after 9/11 to keep America safe is spending more than half a billion dollars on security enhancements for nonprofits “at high risk of terrorist attack,” and recipients include dozens of Islamic centers, a leftist La Raza group and a country music museum, according to records obtained by Judicial Watch. An LGBTQ rights organization and the nation’s leading abortion rights advocacy group have also received generous security enhancement funds from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and so has an old west museum, a congregationalist seminary in American Samoa and an American Indian museum.

“Imagine the kick backs.”

In addition to the hundreds of millions given to the Democrat party from billionaires, corporate PACS, individuals and unions the Democrats rake in more hundreds of millions from taxpayer money given to social justice “non profit” organizations that flows back into the coffers of Democrat politicians. In essence our tax money funds those who would destroy the Republic.

No Republican Congress has dared to slash this spending when the GOP has the majority in the House of Representatives and power of the purse. Hopefully Republicans will have the stomach and backbone for real budget reform if they take the House in 2022. End the “baseline” budgeting process with built-in increases. End the huge omnibus spending bills, filled with earmarks and staff inserted special grants, and go back to passing individual bills for each department. Forget working the budget with a scalpel, the Democrats and press will scream bloody murder for the tiniest of cuts. Take a meataxe to the budget and cut out entire programs, bureaus, and departments. Go line by line removing the waste. If they are going to scream anyway, give them something painful to scream about.

If Republican politicians can’t do it, here’s a suggestion. Pick ten citizens randomly and give them the challenge of taking the federal budget and proposing a balanced budget for the coming year. Give them the data and a week to accomplish the task. Whatever they come up with will be better than Congress can accomplish in a decade.

The key to winning the budget battle is to hold tough. The GOP always blinks in budget battles under the assault of the mainstream press allied with the Dems. Pass a fiscally responsible budget. Send it to the Senate. If the Senate refuses to pass it, hand tough. Let them shut the government down. When they scream, tell them there is a budget passed by the House which will keep the government running. Tell the Senate to pass it, and then send over all of the incremental spending desired by the Senate for input into a supplemental bill. Put the supplemental bill to a vote and vote it down. Then to the president. Let him veto it and keep the government shut down. Keep sending the original bill back to the Senate and the President. Eventually they will have to cave.
