Yes, 50 cents on the dollar. Too many people think the deal won’t go through. I instead think it will and won’t be pretty for Twitter. They are being exposed as frauds, which will cost them. Musk offered them a deal too good to pass up and once he done exposing them, he’ll get the deal that is too good to pass up.
What better vehicle for controlling (influencing) the people could not be dreamed of. So many willingly adopt the platform as actual news and truth. For all we know it is just millions of bots run by a handful of spooks.
A lawsuit by Twitter advertisers for misrepresentation of their ad reach to actual humans will likely result from this insider admission. Musk should get the remaining husk for beer money.
I think a mess like this is the default state of the new Silicon Valley growth companies. The business model was always to be the first to market and grow fast while cutting all corners to build the giant ball of spaghetti in the backend.
The theory was that once the company is rich it can afford to fix its system. Fixing this sort of mess is extremely hard in reality and Twitter seems like a stupid company.
