Well, let’s see. It is encouraging to know that the just fired 3000 Ford white-collar workers will not have to compete with the millions of illegals pouring across the border. It appears that there are many, many “We are hiring” signs all over my small town. Most of them are entry level jobs, but if you can speak English, you will probably have a leg up on any applicant that can’t. This should make the ex-Ford employees feel much more secure and comfortable where they live.

Customers and retail stock holders no longer matter, Wall Street analysts, Institutional stock holders, and hedge funds call the shots, and they want EVs only.
Those are valid points. But Ford is going all EV and I think that is a formula for doom.
Here comes the unemployment. Just wait until Christmas. It’s going to get really ugly. Inflation, recession and unemployment. Natural gas hit a 14 year high this morning, and it will go higher. Winter demand has not hit yet.

If the white collar jobs are HR, diversity, and middle management, it might work. But I wouldn’t bet on it.
Americans make horrible vehicles. They must staff these companies with union school K-12 grads.
I want them to sell lots of electric vehicles here in New England.
Up here we tend to have low morale in January and February—laughing at stranded EVs on the side of the road will be wonderful.
As I witnessed Saturday, Ford Dealers in Southern California are marking up ALL new vehicles $20,000 over MSRP. The markup is not even mentioned on their websites. Not just on EV’s or Hybrids. Every single model. And even if it is only a $22,000 base model.
And it is being allowed to happen by the Commiefornia government and Ford Corporate.
And in other Ford news, there was a jury verdict on Friday against Ford of $1.7 billion in a fatal rollover crash of a 2002 F-250.
The Government - Industrial Complex demands EVs. We shall get EVs.
Somebody at Ford (and other manufacturers) needs to get their head out of the sand & forget the EV misadventure.
