IMO, the 8/8 raid was done to stampede Trump into announcing early. That way, they could run against him instead of the individual house/senate opponents. It would nationalize the mid-terms, and the Dems think that’s to their advantage.
Again, IMO.
There’s a certain logic to that. That said, I think they were trying to remove Trump, not put him on the ballot.
Another theory going around is the Dems fear Desantis and think they can pull another 2020 win on Trump.
Maybe but personally I think the risks are too great:
1. Trump might win
2. This outrageous raid might lose them the house and or senate
