I have an idea and yes I donated $20 to hope you consider it and hope you allow people to discuss these ideas.

Being in the time of up and down votes, I find myself wanting to click the like button on a post that I feel someone make a good point about.

I know not everyone wants to participate in up and down votes.

I’d pay some amount of money to let the poster know I support or disagree with their post. I know a lot of Freepers don’t care for that function, but a lot probably would like it and some would pay for it.

Just throwing it out there. If you subscribe at any level you can like posts. Higher level would be required to down vote, so Humblegummer could make it easier on himself and just down vote posts, instead of typing about stuff he mostly doesn’t understand.

If you are a paying member, you can see up and down votes, if you are a free...Freeper, you continue on as it has always been and continue to read humblegummer’s, incessant, nonsensical postings.

Be nice to have a block function that humblegummer could use so he could block me. If he came up off some monthly donation, on top of his regular one, of course.

In general, subscribers would be able to up and down vote, and see these functions. “Free” Freepers would not be able to see the popularity, or opposite reaction to posts... unless they signed up for a trial of this subscription function.

I know, I know, it is a lot of work and probably not even feasible, but hey I can dream.
