I don’t think Ukrainians want to live under Russian rule.
Maybe you have not noticed.
I’m not sure Russian soldiers are even eager to take Ukraine.
Russia’s goals are not and were not to “take Ukraine.”
The long stated goals were two-fold:
1) Severely hamper or destroy Ukraine’s military and/or capacity to wage war/conflict. Which they are doing and doing on a scale the West/US can’t keep up with.
2) Take all areas with predominantly Russian populace or ethnicity. etc. Which they have largely done.
