Exactly. I drive past the same guy rolling around on the grass yelling at the clouds almost every day. The sheriffs all know him and just leave him be. He has never done any one any harm. Just a bit too much meth.
In LA these cops got to know this homeless guy, but he screamed at night while standing outside his tent, saying there was a giant snake in his tent. So they eventually starting going in the tent while pretending to drag the snake out. He was fine after that and all the others in the tent camp were happy they could sleep.
