Maybe you apply that comment to the Obama regime in 2014 when we setoff a coup that lead to a democratically-elected President being thrown out office illegally and caused a civil war.
Coups have consequences. In this case, those in Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk wanted independence or some level of autonomy.
You just can't seem to grasp reality -- that what is happening in Ukraine is the conclusion of civil war we helped start.
Russia only wanted a guarantee that Ukraine wouldn't join NATO and would remain neutral and the Minsk Agreement, which would have granted US state-like autonomy to Donetsk and Lugansk, when this started.
“Coups have consequences. In this case, those in Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk wanted independence or some level of autonomy.”
You fail to see that the coup, your term, is the overthrow of a lawful government through illegal means as what Russia attempted to accomplish in Donetsk and Lugansk.
An interesting time-capsule is clearly presented in the illegal 2014 coup is found in the photo journalism series “Russian Roulette in Ukraine.”
