He’s possibly just giving them rope. The judge can do a lot here to repair a lot of damage back to 2016, and it’s all damage done by the FBI and DOJ. That fact speaks for itself and loudly.

This guy is completely corrupt and is going to do NOTHING to hurt the FBI/DOJ or help Trump. Prediction: he’ll go along with whatever redactions the DOJ wants, which will be anything to make Trump look bad, and hide anything fishy the FBI tried to get away with.

The DOJ waited until Reinhart was the magistrate on duty before they submitted their warrant application, and he should have taken one look at it and realized that this unprecedented attempt by the part in power to use the criminal justice system to attack their political enemies was a hot potato. He should have bounced it to a district judge, but either through hubris or blackmail, he signed the warrent.

He’s in the DOJ’s pocket.

But team Trump gets to make the next move. It’s going to be played out in the court of public opinion, where it’s going to be difficult for the DOJ to control the narrative.
