Oh, they can get them quickly enough
It’s not as easy as you think. They can lower standards all they want. At the end of the day, the people still have to go through background checks, get clearances and pass the training.
And if they make it through all of that, how many will actually go out and work?

Those are exactly the procedures which are most likely to get bypassed or compromised when "Diversity" is the key hiring metric.
