Perot fought against the RINO policies of GHWB, so that is really not an accurate comparison.
I’ve thought about this and I have come to the conclusion that even if she runs as an Independent she really won’t siphon off many Trump voters. The only people who may vote for her are just the hard-core RINOs who would never vote for Trump anyway. And even at that, half these RINOs will not want to waste their vote and will vote for the Democrat. So in the end, if she does run her delusion, she will have almost no effect whatsoever except to waste a lot of time and money.
Go for it.
1) She does not “siphon off” a single vote from Trump. No one, and I repeat, NO ONE who would vote for her would ever vote for Trump in the first place. This is a non starter.
2) Her sole purpose is that of a Betamale O’Roarke, a d permanent, perpetual loser who still convinces spooge-brained RINO donors (in her case) that she can “win” something. Betamale has already run this for three cycles, and apparently has at least one more in him.
3) This is sort of like candidates such as Alan Keyes on the right, who never in a million years had a genuine shot at winning a seat like a Senate seat, but who convinced a core of donors to keep shooting him money.
That is exactly what they are going to do.
The Forward Party was created last month by “moderates” for specifically that goal.
Look for them to have a Cheney-Andrew Yang ticket.
The WP is already promoting the Forward Party.
Just like CNN promoted Ross Perot.
It will fail of course.
Their goal is to pull votes enough GOP votes in purple states to win the Electoral vote for Dems.

She’s no Ross Perot. Ross Perot had personality. He was a populist and outsider who campaigned as a non-politician. Cheney is none of those things and she tops it off with the personality of wet bread.
Yeah, I think Lizard will run 3rd party. That’s what all the “no longer my party rhetoric” is about. She won’t be able to take the heat running in a direct GOP primary. She’ll be able to safely take pot shots at Trump perched outside the GOP and given unlimited free campaign ads by Fake News.
