The Lincoln project has called US Rep. Liz Cheney's primary loss 'the end of the Republican Party' as Democrats allies lash out against Trump-back winner Harriet Hageman.
Cheney informed her supporters on Tuesday night that she had called Hageman and conceded the race, much to the dismay of the anti-Trump Super PAC The Lincoln Project.
'Tonight, the nation marks the end of the Republican Party,' the group said in a statement. 'What remains shares the name and branding of the traditional GOP, but is in fact an authoritarian nationalist cult dedicated only to Donald Trump.'
Former National Finance Chair Jon Cooper was among the prominent Democrats bemoaning the loss, but also warning Republicans that Cheney would remain in the national spotlight after she hinted at a 2024 presidential run against Trump in her speech.
Denver Riggleman, a former Democratic Congressman for Virginia, said that he was proud to serve with Cheney on the January 6 Committee and that the fight for American's 'integrity' will continue.
'An honor to serve with @RepLizCheney on the @January6thCmte Integrity and winning elections can be mutually exclusive and they often are. I know. I’ve been there.
'The fight continues,' he added.

Star Trek actor George Takei, a vocal critic of Trump, praised Cheney and said he would look forward to her possible 2024 primary challenge against the former president.
'If Liz Cheney runs against Trump in the Republican primaries, she’ll be able to say what others won’t dare say: that Trump lost the 2020 election, lied to the nation about it, incited an insurrection, and is a continuing threat to our national security,' Takei wrote. 'I’m here for it.'

If you Dems love her so very much fine, then you take her,
and her little old Warmongering father too!
It occurs to me that the entirety of the democrat party is focused on destroying the single target PDJT. That makes them vulnerable to flanking. What would such a maneuver look like?
Far Left extremists who want all Republican candidates of any stripe to lose giving Republicans advice. Including those who claimed people like Susan Collins are far right extremists.
Cheney should just pack her bags...move to NY state and get residency. Then run in 2024 as a Democrat in some district.
Their tears are sure sweet tonight! And George Takei is the best they can come up with? How pathetic.
Wow, I’m now very sorry that I didn’t vote for Liz. Ya right, hahahaha
Psycholusional
Takei sucks as an actor.
The Dems consider Lizzie to be nothing more than a useful idiot. But her usefulness has just about expired. She will be tossed aside like a bag full of fast food trash.
Trump didn’t lose the 2020 “election”.
She’ll run for POTUS just so she has a platform. No policy ideas. No anti-socialism efforts. Russia Russia Russia. Ukraine Ukraine Ukraine! Paul Ryan will be at her side….and the campaign slogan will be DUMP TRUMP. That’s all. DUMP TRUMP.
It’s been tough but how can we be anything but grateful for all Trump has shown us? In the long run? IDK. It’s why I pray.
Period.
As the Lib banner that was flown over Mar-A-Lago heralded after the raid, watch out, what goes around, comes around, and Liz is just the beginning of the purge, so:
HaHaHaHaHaHaHa
Sorry
That is nevertrumper sounding talk
Wokism is a religion
It’s not even Marxist
Marx would have shot them as lazy bourgeoisie with luxury problem sexual grievances he found in the way
The Woke wish to destroy western civilization
Not just Trump
👍🏻
I think they pulled the trigger rather quickly on that adolescent banner stunt. They are on the defensive.
A rare copy-n-paste for me, but I believe it’s relevant.
The following concerns forward movement without sacrificing core principles.
I have no reservations improving upon (or moving beyond) the term “Conservative”. That national ‘divorce’ so many speak of should first occur here, on the Right — goodbye Bush, Cheney, Kristol... We were never married to the Rats. The Rats are irrelevant.
Consider how the MSM courts the faux conservatives — it’s become a reliably abusive instrument to beat down the Country. Conservatism isn’t a bad thing — it embodies the goodness of Reagan, his disciples, an era. But it’s nonetheless just a term — and a term that’s been hijacked.
Terms matters. That’s how the Left manipulates opinions, perspectives, goals, academics, grants... The Right conceded the value of terminology — the terminology that ultimately frames the national discourse. Why? Because our terminology was rooted in conservatism — there’s nothing to explain because it’s so damn honest and simple. One is a conservative, and no further explanation is required. We had talkers, authors, pundits espousing the same damn POV over and over for decades — we remained sedentary within the comfort and veracity of conservative truth. And that’s not to say conservatism by definition is a failure — the tenets it represents are perfect and immutable. But like all things, it — the term — has a window of attraction.
Enter DJT — Make America Great Again
We’re connected by conservative ideals, and Trump knew/knows that. But MAGA wasn’t about recycling Conservatism. MAGA was a revival — the Phoenix formerly known as Conservatism. We became connected with so many that existed outside the sphere of Conservatism. But that unfortunately came at a cost — we were betrayed by the faux conservatives we held close for decades — those unwilling to let go of Conservative décor. It was a rude awakening, but good riddance.
America First
It takes time for the Rats to adapt to the momentum they don’t control. The MSM messaging is awkward. Its viewers confused. The narrative ambiguous. It’s a process that can take years.
We’re leaders of the generations we’ve created. Their playlist doesn’t need to include Frank Sinatra & Dean Martin. No doubt one day it will, but for today, we need to clear the path for the new ideas & energy that will ultimately ensure their Constitutional future.
The Founders gave us a Country. We need to think about its preservation without simply reciting what they’ve already stated.
