Russia's Defence Ministry said on Tuesday that Britain has requested permission for its RC-135 spy plane to fly over Russia, a move it termed "a deliberate provocation".

A U.K. Ministry of Defence source denied that Britain had asked permission to fly a spy plane over Russia.

The Russian Defence Ministry said that Russia's airforce had been tasked with preventing any violations of Russian airspace.

“I’m sorry, what”

Pretty much the same thing as the media and the UK telling the world that Russia is shelling a nuclear power plant that RUSSIA CONTROLS and trying to create another Chernobyl that will blow over the Ukrainian territory that Russia just spent 6 months fighting to liberate, and then blow into Russia itself.

Yep, only Russia has a motive to attack the plant.

I know there is not much left of common sense in Great Britain, but would ever ask permission?

Well, both the Limeys and USNews are lying sacks of crap, and the bottom line is that the Limey Spy Plane DIDN’T fly over Russia, so they can have some cheese with their whine.

The UK and Russia were signatories to the Open Skies Treaty.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_on_Open_Skies

Looks like the UK was asking for permission since it never withdrew from the treaty.

“How do you know that Brit plane did not fly over Russian territory?”

Because there’s no corresponding crater on Russian soil?

Russia withdrew from that treaty last year after we did. Brits are being Brit.

That could mean a lot of things. Don’t know if they did, or if they didn’t. Remains to be seen I guess.

...Russia was conducting overflights of U.S. territory using advanced camera technology that were more intrusive than past flights.

Russia’s first such flight with the new technology took place in April 2019.

In September 2018, after Russia complained about U.S. delays in allowing the Russian flight, Republican Senator Tom Cotton, a vocal opponent of the treaty, raised the issue of Russian restrictions.

“The Open Skies Treaty is out of date and favors Russia, and the best way forward is to leave it,” he said....

Yeah, but it never hurts to ask.

You never know what can happen unless you ask.

An RC-135 entering Russian airspace would be a massive and easy target. No such aircraft could transit Russia undetected. It’s got the radar cross section of a freaking barn.

The U.S. and Britain are constantly flying surveillance over south Romania and the Black Sea. Today a British RC 135 Rivet Joint flew loops over the middle of the Black Sea for several hours. It took the same route our Global Hawk drone takes frequently. The U.S. manned surveillance aircraft usually stay over land in south Romania.

Yep, only Russia has a motive to attack the plant.

The dirty RuZZians have also cleverly persuaded the innocent Ukies to shell the hydroelectric power dam, which is the backup to keep the cooling pumps of the nuclear plant running.

Is there NO END to the perfidy of the dirty RuZZians?
