Ya know, any Billy Yank in 1863 could have told you that the worst of the Secesh were by far the Southern women. Women burn with a white hot, unquenchable, and unforgiving fury. Sherman’s March to the Sea was in part, intended to crush the spirit of Southern women to resist. It didn’t work, the women just hated harder. My own reading of history indicates that behind most successful rebellions and revolutions, is a bunch of PISSED OFF WOMEN urging their men on to fight.
