How much would you like to bet that the motive is revenge?
I worked with Sunni and Shia together. They hated each other, would start off insulting each other’s language; “Dari is the language of pigs,” etc. Then it would escalate to insults against mothers and sisters until they had to be broken up like a bunch of toddlers. Really weird.
