North south east west…map shows if you leave Kherson to cross the river, supply routes on the other side extend all the way to the Azov coast and Crimea. All Russian territory.
But please, let the media claim the degradation of 3 river bridges cuts off “20,000 fleeing Russians” . Kiev needs a victory rally.
Thank you.
That should be intuitively obvious to any mapper.
Are “Putin’s buddies” anybody who doesn’t buy the prolific swill put out by the Daily Mail?
Just curious.
Ukraine won’t blow the dam itself. Too many civilions in Kherson.
But there a small bridge that is not part of the dam on the far side of the dam and Ukraine has been targeting that. I believe I heard that had been successful and it’s no longer useful for heavy traffic. Not sure about light vehicles.
Russians on the other hand, might well blow the dam as they retreat. The Russians are using Europe’s largest nuclear plant as an artillary base, because they think Ukraine can’t attack them there. So flooding Kherson by blowing the dam is not beyond Russia’s terrorist mentality.
These Ukraine threads have been senseless football hooligan fights for way too long. Lots of yay for our side boo on your side. Long on insult trading and propaganda, very short on intelligent discussion and analysis. It’s grown quite tiresome. I miss the old days on FR when it was different.
But carry on, boys, if this is what you enjoy. Whatever floats your boats.
There certainly is an element of propaganda to a lot of what we hear from both sides. But it doesn’t take a genius to be able to read a map and understand that long-term, the Kherson salient is not viable for Russia.
—”Glad to see Putin’s buddies populating this thread.
Nope. I think most of us are just tired of multi-billions of our fast-declining dollars being sent to Ukraine”
Yes, two sides to the discussion, but most Ukraine threads quickly degenerate into name-calling with an occasional posting from a site that was very recently created.
With very little discussion taking place.
Some sites (WSJ) have a skip-over button. When activated all you see is a place holder for the skipped, which speeds up the reading and eliminated most of the BS.
Difficult to post BS when nobody sees the BS.
After Afghanistan the poor BIDEN needs a war and a victory by proxy ....ie with no american deaths . Ukrainians and Zelensky are tools ( and Zelensky is corrupt.... like Biden . Lot of business to do in Ukraine )
Keyboard Warrior ejaculation time again.
Hunter Biden took more bribes from Russia than from Ukraine.
Trump asks Putin to hand over dirt on Hunter Biden: Ex-President claims Russian leader ‘knows’ why ‘the mayor of Moscow’s wife gave Joe’s son $3.5million’
Ukraine doesn't have the ability to push Russia out of all of the occupied territory. That's not going to happen, and never was. For Ukraine, making Russia bleed, holding on to large swathes of eastern Ukraine, and drawing closer to the West is more of a victory than they had any right to expect when Russia invaded.
Set up a Ukrainian recruiting station and sign them all up.
that would be funny
Somebody is watching him.😏
What reality do you live in.? Considering the leadership of Russia and their background it is not surprising how people view them.
Not understanding what you are saying?
Another Victory for Ukraine! In weeks the panic stricken Russians will be starving and surrender to Brave Ukraine army as they launch their unstoppable attack! One million, well trained in Poland army of heroes—men and women singing as the villages are liberated from the grip of tyrant Putin and his savage horde. We must keep sending them the tools of Victory! another few Billion and Russia will fold up like a house of cards.
Any visuals of “artillery base”? I’ve only seen visuals of the Ukrainian shelling.
Ukraine has already blown up all three bridges under Russian control connecting the two banks, meaning its soldiers on the west side have no easy way of resupplying, reinforcing, or retreating as Kyiv's men continue their advance.
Translation: Desperate Ukraine gives up everything east of the river and blows three bridges. The Ukranian defensive lines cracked and could not be held.
There is still the dam bridge highway. In any case, armies have been crossing rivers for a very long time.
I seems like just weeks ago that the Donets river prevented the Allied Forces from reaching Lysychansk. Except, it didn't.
