Not necessary to “ surrender “ , negotiating for Peace instead of war. The longer it goes on, the more territory the Ukies lose ( and horrendous loses).

Why didn’t Ukraine implement the 2015 Minsk agreement? It would have recognized the Donbas region as part of Ukraine.
The US and NATO aided the 2014 coup that removed a duly elected President. This spawned the separatist movement in the Donbas and the annexation of Crimea by Russia. A war has been going on for 8 years.
