Wait just a minute there — Trump endorsed incumbent GIMENEZ in this race (according to Ballotpedia) and not his conservative challenger.
Not only is Gimenez a RINO who supports amnesty for illegal aliens and also supports gun-grabbing, he supported the J6 Kangaroo Kommittee even AFTER Trump endorsed him in 2020.
On a related note, some insist that Trump’s endorsements of guaranteed-to-win-anyway Republican House incumbents (115 of them so far in 2022) has nothing to do with “winning percentage”-padding but instead is a maneuver to inspire loyalty from those politicians who — when the chips are down — will surely recall how Trump supported them, and they will therefore support him in return.
In addition to Gimenez backstabbing Trump on the Kangaroo Kourt vote, there were 15 other GOP House members WHO TRUMP ENDORSED in 2020 who also Judas-ed him:

Fortenberry was ousted for some alleged technical violation that Democrats probably get away with all the time, Jacobs ran away because some nutzoid leftist killed some people in Buffalo, and the others so far have safely won their primaries in 2022 despite their apostasy. So they paid no price at all for their disloyalty.
There were 19 other Republicans who voted to persecute Trump, but at least he was smart enough not to have endorsed them previously.
