I thought one of the main purposes of a warrant was to give a copy to the subject; as in “This is proof we’re allowed to be doing this.”

They do not need to give you the warrant BEFORE they search.
They need to leave a copy, along with a list of everything they removed, after they are done.

Yes, transparency and being able to hold authorities accountable is at the very center of our Republic. They have no right to demand cameras be turned off or not showing what authorization they have for their activities.
This is all go to end very badly.
