Then the red states create huge state national guard ( not sure the term , but a state militia not under any purview of our US military) bases. Effectively counter our woke military with solid red patriot state level military bases.

1. Formally declare the FBI a Criminal Enterprise and sieze the assets of all FBI personnel in the State as fruits of a Criminal enterprise.

2. Use the Supreme courts KELO decision to SIEZE all Assets of Federal Employee’s to pay for the cost of servicing Illegal Aliens.

3. Declare all Federal Employee’s as Foreign Agents

4. Pass Federal Gun Control laws at the State level and make it a Felony for ANY Foreign Agent to be in possession of any firearm or ammunition.

Exactly what Sabatini is suggesting — and more. The hell with the courts. After this, you think the justice department matters?

Then I think you should definitely switch your vote back to Trump, because DeSantis isn't nearly dumb enough to do what you suggest.

DeSantis’ political future just went up in smoke. Nothing but a mealy-mouthed tweet 12+ hours after the event.

Yeah, the idea of waiting to gather more facts and information before taking a specific stand is just so...smart?

Exactly what action or words would have made you happy?

As the Governor of Florida, you wanna tell me that Desantis did not get a heads up that they were about to raid Trumps residence? I am sure some task force coordinating had to go on.

Democrats would be absolutely thrilled if DeSantis took that bait. It is basically playing the Fort Sumter card and seceding. And despite whatever keyboard-warrior delusions may exist among certain Freepers, there is basically zero chance that there is going to be the kind of mass uprising necessary to have an actual secession/revolution. It's not happening.

Which means DeSantis would be arrested for insurrection/sedition, basically ending his political career while accomplishing absolutely nothing. Other than pretty much guaranteeing that Trump himself would have no chance of winning in 2024 either.

I would be absolutely shocked if they did that kind of advance coordination. The most they might have done is place a courtesy call to the local law enforcement right as the operation began.

DeSantis is an Ivy League lawyer who has never worked outside government in his life.

I would vote for him if he's the nominee in 2024 (or later), but my expectations for him to do anything of substance in the White House are pretty much non-existent.

DeSantis knew this was going to happen that's why he used his personal account; too obvious of a hypocrite it he uses his state account.

This likely required a joint cooperative task force response from the state, as customary for fulfillment of a federal warrant upon a Florida citizen.

I have learned my lesson with Ted Cruz to not trust these lawyer politicians. Lots of them are controlled opposition.

Regardless of anyone's feelings about Trump, a line was crossed with this raid and it's not business as normal.

“Exactly what do you expect DeSantis to do that would hold up to legal challenge?”

Do what Missouri did. Pass a state law that forbids state or local officials to assist federal bureaucrats. States are sovereign and can’t be compelled to assist the federal government operations. The federal government simply doesn’t have the manpower or logistical support to carry out mandates in states without assistance from the states.

Nonsense. Sane people don’t want to see knee jerk reactions. Instead deliberate, precise and effective solutions delivered with intensity.

I think he’s excellent at getting rid of deep state. He completely overhauled the palm and broward election committee who run the elections. He got rid of an AG who said he would not follow state law and replaced him with one of his trusted people. And so much more.

Only problem is fed will say fine. No federal money for you red states. And unfortunately they are given federal money to survive.

Agree with your sentiment.

RE:.."The hole I have in my support for him are my doubts that he would do anything to dismantle the Deep State apparatus if elected president.

Mar-a-lago has shown dismantling is crucial to survival of our country's home for freedom.....and that Trump is the one motivated to do just that. He's already announced plans to do so.

At the end of it all, Trump & DeSantis will be the ones that save us, and the freedoms of those that follow us.

It won’t happen, but if the Republican work force across America all went on strike like a union, until “management” realizes they are going to tank and starve the entire country, we could and would draw a lot of FedGov “blood”.

The number would be so large, it would quickly shut down the FedGov itself, and they couldn’t possibly arrest or replace most of us.
