The fact has long been that we have to win by more than the margin of cheating. Cheating to get office is the way things are done. Our government is fundamentally dishonest and corrupt, that's why the founders wanted a teeny, ting small one. But the teeny tiny small federal government declared that is was created to be big and powerful. Shocker, all three branches agreed they should have more power.

No. We have to ENSURE we have a fair election. We have endured bs for way too long. How many elections ago was it that thugs were allowed to intimidate voters in Philadelphia? Did that get fixed? No, it got worse.
We live in a nation in which we are still using the 'honor system', but to a large number of people residing in the US those of us who believe in honor and integrity are just easy targets. For them, whatever methods let them get their way and that they can get away with are justified - irrespective of legality or ethics. To them, there is no moral code that compels them to be honest. Whatever it takes is what they will do.

No, that would be insane. If I believed that delusion I would be ready for the looney bin. Having said that, we do have to believe we can overcome the margin of voter fraud.
