I remember the late Larry Burkett had a Christian financial ministry and his IRS audit came up. At first, he said he was real positive that this would be a testimony to the integrity of his ministry and it would even validate his ministry. He quickly found out it was out that the audit came down to trying to find every minuscule error and quickly consumed large amounts of his focus and he realized he was dealing with a powerful government agency exerting its power and it really wasn’t about ensuring correct tax payments.
To put it in perspective, that’s about one IRS agent in every 221 registered Republicans.
